In line with Government advice, Ightham Primary School is currently only open to those children that are vulnerable and Critical Worker children. The earliest that Ightham might fully reopen is Monday 8th March 2021. The DfE has stated that schools will be given two weeks' notice prior to opening more substantially.

As with all state schools, we fully reopened at the beginning of September 2020 and remained open until the end of Term 2.

The School has paid due regard to all the guidance from the DfE in order that the school can operate as safely as possible.

In Term 1, overall attendance was 96.1%, which was above the national average of around 89%. Up to 3rd December 2021, attendance was 96.7% overall.

Catch-Up Premium

The Government made additional funding available to schools in 2020-21 to enable them to support catch-up as many children were unable to attend school for a substantial part of the 2019-20 academic year.
